Outside of school hours care (OOSH)
Our school has an on-site outside of school hours care (OOSH) service. This service operates before and after school. We also provide care during school holidays and school development days. This is known as vacation care.
At our OOSH, we focus on supporting each child's growth and wellbeing. We do this through fun programs that encourage curiosity and a love for learning.
Before and after school care
Our before and after school OOSH service is available to all children who attend our school. OOSH is owned by the Mt Kuring-gai Parents and Citizens association (P&C) and is a not-for-profit business managed by our volunteer OOSH management committee. OOSH is located within the grounds of Mt Kuring-Gai Public School and is a licensed 30 place centre. Our centre aims to provide each child with a home-like atmosphere within a caring and stimulating environment. The program aims to provide activities to suit all ages and interests, both indoors and outdoors. Within our program is a variety of arts, crafts, games and outdoor activities which vary on a daily basis. We work collaboratively with families and have built links with the Mount Kuring-gai Public School teaching staff to ensure we are able to provide continuity of care. We are a small, but well resourced centre who are always striving to improve our quality service. Please don't hesitate to contact us for with any questions or to confirm availability.
Hours
Our operating hours are as follows:
- before school care from 7:00am to 9am (healthy breakfast included)
- after school care from 3:30pm to 6:30 pm (nutritious afternoon tea included)
- staff development days from 7:00am to 6:30pm
- vacation care from 7:00am to 6.30pm (days as advertised)

Eligible families can apply for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to reduce out-of-pocket OOSH fees.
