Last Friday Mt Kuring-Gai Public School participated in a chess competition held at St Bernard's Catholic School. It was Mt Kuring-Gai Public School vs St Bernard's Catholic school, no other schools participated. Representing our school, we had Lucas Liu, Iziah Garrard, Kevin Liu, Carl Wiberg, Elijah Hamer, Joel Tristram, Cameron Bennie and myself, Jack Lisle. As far as I am concerned, we all had a fantastic time and a few of us may have even learnt a trick or two about chess. Some of us were awarded individual trophies. I have cut-and-pasted the top five participants and trophy winners.

It also happens to be that Mt Kuring-Gai Public School won overall in points and are the official winners. We were awarded a trophy that is on display in the office for all to see.
