Maths
This week in Maths students in 2R have been learning all about money. We have enjoyed sorting coins into different groups based on size, colour and value, and have used stamps and made rubbings of coins to explore equivalent values in groups of coins.
We especially liked using our Class Shop! This helped us practice recognising and counting dollars and cents.
Literacy
Each week we get to read a wide variety of stories and texts, but this week we were especially lucky to have a group of students perform a play for us! The students practiced and practiced all week, prepared costumes for each character, and thought carefully about the setting of the play so they could put on an amazing performance for the class. Well done, girls!
